Saint Rita Parlor
Diebold-Glastetter // Tobacco Tortoise
Product Description
Los Angeles-based concept brand Saint Rita Parlor made waves with its debut collection, thanks to founder and designer Neil Bardon’s attention to detail and his deep connection to both the origin and the legacy of the brand. Inspired by and in dedication to Bardon’s late grandmother, Rita, the brand itself possesses a sentimental spirit that makes each artisanal piece feel like a precious heirloom.
Named after Bardon’s hometown of Florissant, Missouri, this sophomore Florissant collection advances from the brand’s 1940s-inspired debut and adopts some of the more modern attributes of the 1950s. This decade’s embodiment the ideal of the American dream, which can be seen in great detail in the new range of eyewear. Reflecting deeply on his lineage and heritage, each pair of glasses has been named after the surnames of both sides of the designer’s grandparents prior to marriage. The collection itself draws inspiration from specific memories of Bardon’s family, such as both grandfathers’ interest in mechanical engineering, the medical field Rita worked in, and the roses she so loved.
