This 7" Bunka Chef Knife is Forge to Table's most unique knife. The flat rear of the blade is perfect for chopping vegetables and tackling larger tasks, while the K-tip is fantastic for accomplishing precise and detailed cuts. The thicker, heartier forge is ideal for those who like a little bit more heft.

All Forge to Table knives are made with 5 layer VG10 Steel, which is more resilient than standard carbon steel, and sharpens with ease for a finer edge. The durability of VG10 steel also prevents dulling and rusting. The "kurouchi", or blacksmith finish, is the signature of their forge in Southeast China. It not only looks good, it adds even more protection against daily wear and tear to ensure you can rely on these knives for years to come.

What degree do you sharpen to?

Each blade is sharpened to about a 17-degree edge but the blades can be easily re-edged on a whetstone.

Is the blade ground on both sides or just the right side?

All of the blades are sharpened 50/50 and the octagonal grip we use on every knife is equally perfect for left and right-handed users!
