Transylvania (Wallachia, Romania). Radu I, 1377-1383 AD. Great-grandfather of Vlad the Impaler. Excellent small Bronze Bani. Rare type! Sunburst with Latin and Cyrillic letters / Cross with four 6-ray stars, within dotted border. Ref: MBR 78a-variation (rare). 14mm, 0.58 g. Radu I was the brother of Vladislav I Vlaicu-Voda (1364-1377 AD), father of Mircea "the Old" 1355–1418 AD, and great-grandfather of Vlad III "the Impaler" (1431–1476 AD). Extremely Rare type!
