Ancient Viking Bronze Ring // 8th-11th Cent. AD
Product Description
A marvelous Viking bronze finger-ring, dating from the 8th-11th century AD. A simple bronze band, once silvered, the upper portion decorated in a “braid-like” design, worn down from ancient wear and use. The bottom of the ring is worn thin and a bit chipped, making it probably not safely wearable, but a great display piece nonetheless. Olive-green patina and some silvery sheen. Viking rings like this were said to bring power to the wearer. This is an excellent example of Scandinavian Viking jewelry of this period.
