Ancient Rome. Otacilia Severa, 244-248 AD. Empress to Philip I (244-249 AD). A gorgeous silver antoninianus, set into a custom .925 silver bezel and 22-inch braided “foxtail” chain. On the front is depicted the diademed and draped bust of the Empress facing right, upon a crescent, “M OTACIL SEVERA AVG” around / The back depicts Concordia (“Harmony”) seated left on a throne, holding a patera and double cornucopiae, “CONCORDIA AVGG” around.
